So after growing tired of repeated references to 'The Phoenix Project' I decided to try and read it. It might have some great examples for DevOps etc, but on a literary level it is absolutely terrible writing. I'm not a fan of long-form journalism at the best of times, even when written well, and this isn't written well.
Can anyone point to a good synopsis of the story, maybe something in the style of a Wikipedia plot summary? I am not interested in:
The company has long promised that its “Phoenix” program will restore profitabil-ity and close the gap by tightly integrating its retailing and e-commerce channels. Already years late, many expect the company to announce another program delay in its analyst earnings call next month. The Phoenix demonstration project is intended to, with permission, repurpose non-operating cooperative functional apertures in GEO graveyard orbit. DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A. Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited. One example of re-purposeable components that could providebenefitare “apertures” Selected decommissioned GEO.
- A third party's opinion of the 'point' or lessons learned
- A publisher's-style 100 word plot introduction.
Thanks
